Biography

Dilsarah holds an LL.B (Second Class Honours) from the University of London, and following her period of Apprenticeship at the Attorney General’s Department of Sri Lanka, she was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. She also earned an LL.M from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK , focusing on International Business Law and Finance Law. Additionally, she holds Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.

She is an Associate at IP Chambers who began her legal career as a Legal Research Officer attached to the Chambers of the Honorable Judges’ of the Supreme Court obtaining specialized experience in Civil Litigation including Adminstrative Law, Corporate Law and Employment Law. Her prior experience includes working in both the Conveyance and Litigation divisions of a leading Colombo-based law firm.

Beyond this, Dilsarah has served as a Moot Coach for several National and International Moot Competitions and has achieved several awards including the Championship at the 20th Willem C Vis Moot International Moot Court Competition.
